Originally from Wisconsin, I've been all over the world. I met my wife rock climbing and have tagged along in her pursuit of academia globally. My journey has informed my teaching, taking the best of each experience with me.

My favorite moments: When students meet and then exceed the expectations that they and their parents had for them. I love when a student struggles, fails, becomes frustrated and then gets that "aha" moment leading to success. “We learn from failure, not from success!" - Bram Stoker
My teaching philosophy: Hold students to high expectations for growth from where they are, then believe they can and challenge them to succeed. Provide ample opportunities for practice through hands-on exploration and discovery. Support students to succeed through whole-class, small-group, and individualized instruction. Make learning FUN!
A little about me: traveler, joker, adventure sports lover, tinkerer, father, cook, spouse, dog trainer and all around handy-man. If I don't know how to do something, I think outside the box to get things done.
